so why is 14p so popular if you guys say that the premier plan is pretty much useless unless you always want to swipe other people in?

they've all been brainwashed!

i guess some people think its worth the convenience. but i'm a pretty practical (read: frugal) person that doesnt like to waste money so i dont think its worth it, considering i eat almost all my meals anyways.

what do people eat for breakfast by the way since MOST don't eat it at the dining halls? do people buy like bread/snacks or something from outside and keep in their dorms to eat everyday for breakfast?

Well, I think when most people say they don't eat breakfast they don't eat at all. They eat two meals a day or something.

My guess is that some people who don't eat at dining halls for every meal may eat at the foodcourt or a restaurant in Westwood

i have granola bars i sometimes eat for breakfast. :p

I personally was glad I got 14 premiere. Well worth the premium.

But I was also prone to getting Puzzles and then a smoothie on the side...

uclari, what did you like about premiere?

if i'm going to be someone who won't swipe in others and will probably eat all my meals, should i get premiere?

I liked premiere for a number of reasons:

I liked getting a smoothie AND a meal together sometimes.

Sometimes, you want to go and swipe food for your roomies or a friend and do a food run for them. Can't do that without premiere.

You never know when someone might want to be swiped in. What if you end up dating someone who doesn't live on-campus or go to UCLA? :p

But mostly just the flexibility. 14 Premier worked for me.

wait...so a smoothe=1 swipe and a meal= 1 swipe? isnt that kind of wasteful (a waste) if you use a swipe for a smoothie (cost like what, maybe $3,4 dollars?) over a buffet meal (around $10???)?

what other things other than meals/smoothies can you use swipes for?

collegegirlgirl,

Smoothies are a swipe. Welcome to UCLA. If you don't want smoothies, don't get any. :p

You can swipe drinks and pizzas.

what if you wanna eat cereal in the morning (get a fridge for the milk) and eat dinner at home (microwave a lean cuisine for lunch or sth)...could you decide to not get meal plan then? how much would it cost?

No, you have to get a meal plan.

Don't try to live like that. You'll hate life.

poor anorexic people..

uclari,

so a smoothie swipe is like the same as a meal swipe? just that the meal swipe is probably the most worth it?

I guess... they can always just go and eat a piece of fruit...

Why, are you "pro-ana?"

In terms of cash, the most "worth it" is dinner.

The smoothie or the two drinks swipe is probably the "least worth it."

But when you feel like a delicious strawberry-banana smoothie, all of a sudden the intangible benefits seem very powerful.

cant u steal a smoothie

How on earth are you going to go behind the counter and make a smoothie in front of everyone?

You swipe for the smoothie and it's made to order. You then give them a receipt. No, you can't steal a smoothie.

ugh i guess ill just have to live without a smoothie.

14 blue was my choice, hopefully i wont regret it.

If i do however, how easy is it 4 me to upgrade to premier

Just go to the housing cashier and ask for an upgrade.
