Besides the Library, are there any quiet out of the way places to study?

Dining halls are a very good choice during non-lunch/dinner hours. The tables are practically empty, and you can still get something small to eat or drink if you like.

^ Totally agree with that! It’s really nice but you have to look around for electrical outlets if you need one.

Empty classrooms and lecture halls are nice but a lot are locked on the weekends. There’s a place in CIW (a small bridge connecting two buildings) that I’ve studied in. Really nice and quiet, especially on a Saturday night before finals. You had to sit on the floor but it was carpeted and comfortable. There’s also a small lounge in the CIW dinning hall building with tables/chairs/outlets that’s often empty.

Some buildings, especially the newer ones, have study rooms/lounges. The rooms are good if you can find a friend and study in the same room (they’re meant for group study so don’t go there alone or they kick you out).

Times when the Union is empty is a good time to study there. It’ll be totally silent.

I really love the science library, since most students frequent the main library more. I’ve also found my building’s study lounges to be particular empty, ESPECIALLY during finals season when everyone else FLOCKS to the libraries and it’s impossible to find a cubicle.
