<p>Hey, i'm a rising sophomore (current freshman) and I was wondering where good places to live would be. I'm thinking of prefrencing Oakland first then LaPlata. Most of my classes are near the engineering area (Chemistry, PHysics, Engineering, Kim Buildings) and I go to Eppley a lot to work out.</p>
<p>good luck getting into oakland … seriously haha. Laplata would be my second choice too but other than that there aren’t really any other residence halls better than the others. Ellicott and hagerstown have good locations but i know they don’t have any air conditioning so it sucks in early fall.</p>
<p>i’d personally prefer LaPlata or any Ellicott community dorm over Oakland, simply because Oakland adds another 10 minutes to walk to any of my classes. Ellicott is also closer to the diner and the gym.</p>
