<p>UCR-UCLA program is supposed to be extremely competitive to get in so I wouldn't choose UCR just for the program, since there is no guarantee you will get in. You also apply during your junior year in college, i believe. UCSD has an 8 yr program, guaranteed admission into med school with no mcats. </p>
<p>when applying to a uc med school, i don't think it hurts or helps to have gone to that same uc for undergrad. it really depends on how well you do in school, what kinds of connections you establish, etc.</p>
