Best PSAT Review Book

Hi,

I have practiced from Princeton Review and currently am practicing from Kaplan. Kaplan math practice tests are good but the reading comprehension seems a little too easy. Could you guys share your experiences with these books and how the Kaplan books are compared to the actual PSAT? Thanks!

Yeah, the blue book.

Kaplan is way too easy, both in the math and the reading. I quit using it before the writing section. Any book that gives me over 73 in CR and contains confusing math problems is definitely not worth the time. In comparison, I got a 67 on the PSAT, a 650 on a practice SAT, and high 50s in other prep books. (I actually wrote a really long review about it on Amazon.)
After the blue book, I would say McGraw-Hill is probably the best. Barron’s isn’t too bad, but some of the math strategies are pretty dumb. Also, Barron’s doesn’t have a conversion scale.
Aside from taking three practice tests from McGraw, I didn’t prep at all for last year’s PSAT, so I can’t really give you an improvement story.
