I'm thinking about making a trip to Boulder pretty soon and I was wondering what the best and most popular restaurants around campus were? It be great if I could get some suggestions so I can plan out my trip a little better. The more the merrier. Thanks for the help!

To name a few, my kids like Cosmo’s Pizza, Hapa Sushi, Illegal Pete’s, The Sink, Glacier (for ice cream), and The Kitchen.

As parents, we also like Walnut Street Brewery, Brassiere Ten Ten (French), Boulder Chop House, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Turley’s, and Tandoori Grill (Indian). We’ve heard The Med (Mediterranean, of course) is great, but we’ve not eaten there yet.

If you’re staying close to campus, you could easily walk to any of the places I’ve listed except Tandoori Grill. :)

The Sink is classic CU. The Med is excellent for a nice dinner out. My kid likes the Thai Place on Broadway, don’t know the name. (Oddly, asian food in Boulder is generally pretty lame).

My go-to restaurant in Boulder is Efrain’s for the best chile verde I have ever had. It is a religious experience, but you do need to drive there, and then find the place.

Oh my goodness the food in Boulder is the best. All of the places everyone named I’ve heard are amazing, but hands down for sure go to The Med. It’s incredible. We order the tapas (happy hour items) which are little mini portions of the items for like 2 bucks each so we get a little sampler of 5 things for below 15 bucks. It’s to die for. We’re visiting again in two weeks and we’re planning on going there at least twice in our 5 day stay.

Half Fast Subs is good and it’s right on campus. Buchanan’s coffee pub right near Half Fast and the Sink has THE BEST coffee drinks and cookies. We go a coupel times a day for drinks. Snarfs is also an amaazing sub shop, I think better than Half Fast and thats a little ways away from campus… I think it’s near Pearl.

Also, for breakfast, on Pearl street my parents and I always go to Foolish Craig’s. Amazing crepes, omeletets-basic breakfast stuff with that Boulder flair to it.
