Best SAT Prep Book?

Is there a consensus "best" SAT prep book? I've done a bit of research online, and most people seem to suggest that the blue Collegeboard Official SAT Study Guide is the best by.

Is this the book the majority of you guys on college confidential use? Also, if this is true, can anyone explain why the Collegeboard one would be, if anything, better than other brands like Kaplan or Princeton Review?

Because the collegeboard one is made by real collegeboard people. The tests are extremely similar to the real one you will take. The others WILL be awkward or have unnecessary information and it will screw you up. I would also read Silverturtle’s guide and Grammatix before you dive in the book.

Why wouldn’t you buy the book from the maker of the test?

If you had a final in physics coming up in a a week, and your teacher and a friend are both offering help on the final, who would you go to?

The teacher, because if s/he has half a soul, s/he would steer you in the right way.

College Board’s guide. Then come Barron’s, Kaplan, and Princeton Review
