Disregard above post. The blue book is a must have, ask anyone else and they would agree. Even the SAT guru’s Silverturtle, and Xiggi would agree. The tests come straight from the collegeboard, so there is no better practice material.

And yea the explanations are online and free.

I think you either misunderstood the question and/or are trolling, YuhikoJay. The Study Guide is affectionately referred to as the BB by most of us. It’s not a study guide, per se, but moreso a resource for official and accurate tests. You should get a different book for that - princeton review’s cracking the sat and barron’s sat I are preferable. In addition, buy off amazon to get it for cheaper, or buy it used. Explanations are online, but if you can’t be bothered to look it up, you can post incorrect/hazy questions on this forum and someone will respond.

My personal sat book list:
BB
Gruber’s
Barron’s 2400 (curiously enough, I have not even glanced at this book yet. I feel bad for wasting my parents’ money.)

Kaplan sucks so much, why would you suggest that to someone.
But yeah CBs books are perfect for review and the practice test from real SATs really come in handy.

Complete and utter crap. Just take a lot of practice tests and you’ll be fine. And I can say this confidently because I got a 2380 without even opening the book. (Wasted my parent’s money. DX)

i used the book and found nothing that enhanced my knowledge. buy it for the tests, but don’t expect to learn good strategies from the college board. if everyone knew how to get 2400s then college board would have no credibility.
