I’m planning on taking the SAT in March 2017. I just got Kaplan’s “premier” 2016 sat prep book and the new official SAT study guide from college board. Does anyone have experience with these books, or any suggestions for books that are better? Thanks!
People are recomending Kallis
Ya^ I heard Kallis has realistic practice tests. I think Ivy Global’s practice tests are pretty realistic too (judging from just one practice test!)
I tried doing the ones from PR, Kaplan, and Barron’s (The big test prep companies) and they are all unrealistic. They don’t trick students in the same way as the CB does.
Update: I now have the Kallis book, and it’s pretty solid, esp. for grammar and math. Ivy Global’s 1st edition was pretty bad, but the 2nd looks more promising. I don’t have it yet, though.

Are you planning on getting the new Ivy Global edition?
@YoLolololol - probably

How are the practice tests in Kallis book? Do they look and feel like the CB ones?
I haven’t examined them super closely yet, @YoLolololol , but on first glance, they look pretty well made. The instructional sections for M and W are fairly strong and reasonably systematic, the R instructions much less so.
The CB Official Guide is pretty good. And, hit K. Academy hard. Best of luck!
