Best school for scene kids?

I'm quite interested in Seattle now

my school is overrun with emo kids, which just so happens to be the scene here.

its quite retarded.

I wouldn't say the schools are 'overrun' with scene kids.

UW (especially UW) is big enough that one group can't overrun everyone. The other university in Seattle - Seattle U, is known to be a melting pot of different cultures, ideas, etc. Certainly, a lot of scene kids are mixed into that.

Both UW and Seattle are located in very eccentric locations... UW is near the University District (The Ave) and Seattle U is on Broadway. Both those areas are very scene friendly areas.

So there are lots of scene kids, but the general atmosphere in Seattle is very loose preppy.... the Seattle music scene is quite disgusting, though. (pot, e, etcetc)

^^ you mean there are DRUGS in MUSIC?!?!?! give me a break man, the music scene is disgusting because people smoke pot? I don't know what kind of music you're into, but I'm guessing it's not very good if that's your outlook.

a bill hicks quote comes to mind "If you don't believe drugs have done good things for us, then go home and burn all your records, all your tapes, and all your CDs because every one of those artists who have made brilliant music and enhanced your lives? RrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrEAL *ing high on drugs. The Beatles were so *ing high they let Ringo sing a few songs."

"Bill Hicks, another dead hero"

--Maynard Keenan (will go down in history as one of the best musical minds of our generation, IMO)

hey, third eye. i was always wondering who they were quoting. maynard has been ****ing me off lately, though. what's with that crappy covers album? and the last apc cd...not particularily fufilling.

The new Tool album should make up for it.... I lean way harder towards Tool's music than APC, APC has some good stuff, but the musicians/production is nowhere near Tool, IMO.

Haha, i get your point gatordan.

I choose to buy albums and listen to them by myself.

For those who like Tool, especially Lateralus - check out Porcupine Tree (In Abnestia, Deadwing, Lightbulb Sun), Anathema (Judgement, Eternity), Riverside (Out Of Myself, Second Life Syndrome). You won't be dissapointed.
