My girlfriend wants to go to a school for creative writing (not just an english major) and I want to go to a school really strong in economics and political science. Are there any schools in New York that satisfy both majors well? After receiving an associates degree at my local Community College, I hope to have a GPA of 3.5 - 3.75. My girlfriend will probably score similar marks. We aren't millionaires, so we would probably prefer to go to a SUNY, but we have a long way to go and nobody can predict the future, so any advice would be recommended! Schools other than SUNY's are welcome!

Barnard is good for Creative Writing.

NYU and Columbia come to mind, but these are more selective/very pricey. As far as SUNYs go, look into Geneseo.

thanks! didnt know geneseo offered both programs!

Sarah Lawrence is reasonably close to NYC and is the best option for undergraduate creative writing. I’m not sure how good its financial aid is, however.
