Best schools for pre-vet?

<p>What schools have good prevet/biology programs? I dont mean ivy leagues, preferably selective schools though (40 percent acceptance rate or below)</p>

<p>Vet schools are ridiculously expensive. Unless you have wealthy parents or a huge trust fund, I would look at the least expensive undergrad schools and do well there, take advantage of any and all opportunities for exposure to veterinary practices, and get to know a professor or two very well in the hopes of getting good LORs. </p>

<p>Look at your state schools or go to the financial aid threads and look for schools with generous merit scholarships (if you have the grades to qualify).</p>
