Potsdam

It would be greatly appreciated if any of you give me the top 5 to apply to Thanks

Binghamton

Buffalo

Albany

New Paltz

Oswega

What are your criteria in finding a college? For instance, Stony Brook has a great reputation in sciences, but it might not be a good choice for someone who wants to major in drama. If you want to know about competitiveness, go to Welcome to SUNY - The State University of New York click on "future students" and there's a chart that will give you all the stats from this year's freshman class.

My dad went Buffalo and became very financially successful in life. He was an accounting major

I want to major in buisness

Geneseo and Binghamton are the most selective; Geneseo's more the liberal artsy school, Binghamton's more the typical state school (if you're relying on stereotypes). Those two, Stonybrook (for sciences) and UBuffalo are generally regarded as the top of the SUNYs.

I vote for SUNY New Paltz! It's the up and coming SUNY. Got the location, the fun town, the fun and friendly student body and they are getting more selective every year so attracting smart kids. Really strong in Business, the Arts, Education, Communication, Anthropology and Biology.

Binghamton and Genesco are the most selective and are highly ranked, but next you should definitely consider Oneonta.

It has a beautiful campus, has been getting higher and higher in various rankings (US News, Klipinger's, etc) and is overall a great school.

I haven't heard anything good about Old Westbury, and Albany is always voted a top party school. Do you want to pay for parties or an education?

Which of the SUNY's would you recommend for engineering?

Bing is the most selective and widely hailed as the best.

Geneseo's Honors Program offers what they claim as the equivalent to an Ivy League, LAC education.

I'd say:

Bing

Albany

Buffalo

w/e

w/e

Two good ones you aren't considering are Stony Brook and Geneseo. Do consider them.

1)Suny New Paltz

Then all the rest...

yeah I do think Binghamton is the most selective of SUNYs.

Geneseo is the most selective. Go to the SUNY website and look at the stats. Brockport and Oneonta have the most beautiful and modern campuses with the most food options!! The SUNY system is rated the best state system overall in the US.
