polite antagonis, if you hate cal so much, have you ever considered going somewhere else?

alin88, yes i am from tams, who are you?

There's a great link:

Most students seem quite happy with the Berkeley experience. Don't assume that you won't be like them. Most Berkeley students are, if not at least satisfied with Berkeley, then VERY happy with Berkeley.

Some indication is better than none, and certainly that's the best that we have (until next years survey comes out, which is currently happneing).

While sakky poses a legitimate criticism, as shown by a pdf file I can't seem to find at the moment, very few students are even put on academic probation and therefore even fewer (highly unlike that nobody gets out of probation) would give Cal a negative evaluation.

Moreover, all students are sent an email asking them to fill out the poll. Few humans would turn down the opportunity to anonymously bash something they hate...especially if all it takes is a few mouse clicks.

So, back to the best thing about Berkeley, I'd say it's that you really grow intellectually, as you will be exposed to a full spectrum of opinions on every occasion. You will begin to think critically and care deeply about issues that may not have previously caught your attention. This will serve you well in life, in whichever occupation you choose.

All humans are sent an email? I planned on doing it for a while, and did it today, but I got about 7 to 8 emails or so asking for me to fill out the survey.

Exactly, greatestyen! Usually people you are extremely dissatisfied (3.3% of Cal undergraduates) are VERY MILITANT about expressing their opinion. Hence the barrage of negative opinions from sakky and Polite Antagonis, they've been on an anti-Cal crusade all over this board.

If anything, any bias in the survey is bound to be negative, things are at least as good as the survey says.
