So I recently saw that all of the orientation info for the fall 2012 semester came out, and there are sooooo many options of when to go! Going during the summer sounds okay for me since it might have a smaller crowd and allow for easy registration of classes, etc. But I don't know if I might want to do the August orientation instead. Can you move in to your dorm early if you go to the August orientation?

Pick the earliest date for your major.
Pick ASAP, sessions get filled because kids want to get the best schedule.

You cannot wait to go to orientation and then move into your dorm.
You’ll have to make 2 trips to campus.

actually with late orientation check out you may be able to make one trip but where would you store all of your stuff during orientation. If your parents are in a a hotel holding your stuff you could maybe consolidate one flight

You will be able to move into your dorm room early if you choose the August orientation.

Went to accepted student reception last night and the admissions rep said that the August orientation is the most popular, and that they actively hold back an appropriate number of seats in the Freshman courses so that the August folks will not be blocked out of any courses.
