Best Time To Apply For Pitt

When is the best time to apply for Pitt??? I have lower stats projected 3.4 uw and 3.6 w. and want to appy as early as possible so I have the best chance of getting accepted. What month should I start applying?? I'll be junior next year.

August/September after your junior year.

Thanks and what’s the advantage of applying then as supposed to later???

Not as many students will have applied so you will be compared against less applicants. Generally speaking, you should also hear back much sooner so you know if you get in, get waitlisted (and need to do more things) or get denied (and need to apply elsewhere).

With all rolling admit schools as the seats get filled - it gets harder and harder to get in and the same goes for the merit scholarships. They seem to be more generous in the early months than later in the admissions process.

^^^^^^^^

Yes, what kleibo said.

Definitely apply as early as possible (August / september ish like others said). I didn’t apply till around the end of November, and it made the whole process a lot more stressful. I got in but I didn’t get any scholarships, which may or may not have been because I applied late (I’m not a stellar applicant, just average/slightly above-average, so that probably played a bigger role, but you never know).

If nothing else getting it done will get it off your mind so you can focus on other things senior year :)
