Which Uc’s are the best if I want to become a medical doctor, taking into account majors and classes offered, classes,an d the environment? I’ve been thinking about UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Berkeley
Are you instate?
What are your stats?
All UC’s are good for Pre-med students. It really depends upon what you plan to major in for undergrad, what can you afford, what are your Stats/EC’s etc…
GPA is very important for med school admissions, so the best UC for you will be the one where you’ll be happiest (socially / wrt majors / affordability) and where you won’t be over your head academically.
I’ve always been told that it doesn’t matter where you go for your undergrad education. As long as you’re on the pre-med track (taking the required classes for the MCAT) and doing extremely well in school, then it doesn’t matter. School name or undergrad major don’t matter. Your GPA DOES. So just remember that. Med school applicants come from a wide variety of undergrad colleges. I think any of the UC’s would be fine, but remember what everyone on here is saying about doing academically well. That’s the key!
