<p>i know most colleges don't have specific entertainment business majors, but considering the aspects of entertainment business, which schools should I look into....nyu's stern, umich's ross, usc's marshall....any others??</p>
<p>What do you want to do in entertainment? TV, Music, film? PR, Executive, Agent, Producer? Its a broad industry.</p>

<p>but i am not interested just yet in actual film production and do not have adequate experience in the cinema to get into top film schools like usc and nyu, so i was looking more towards the business and law aspects of entertainment so i can become an agent...still NYU and USC would be the best schools for that...?</p>
<p>Drexel University has an Entertainment</a> Arts Management program that might be of interest.</p>
<p>USC has a joint Film/Business program that grants a dual degree from Marshall and the School of Cinematic Arts.</p>
<p>It's extremely selective, but it will pretty much guarantee you a job in Hollywood after graduation. The programs graduates are highly saught after by the biggest studios, entertainment companies, and talent management agencies.</p>
<p>Anywhere that allows you to sharpen your social skills while giving you a solid degree...</p>
<p>Join a fraternity or something and I'm sure that will help - organizing events, wooing people (during rush/social events), being in a social setting is something you'll have to get used to if you want to pursue that lifestyle.</p>

<p>how much harder would it be to become an agent, a top agent, if you did not graduate from film school? because i know the USC joint degree is extremely selective....what are other options</p>
<p>USC has a business major with a specialization in Entertainment Business.</p>
<p>LMU also has a business major where you can specialized in entertainment or sports marketing. </p>
<p>And a UCLA communications degree would easily land you a job in the entertainment industry.</p>
<p>And to become an agent you will most likely need an entertainment law degree, so undergrad isn't really a big deal.</p>
<p>What about Miami?</p>
<p>Oh and Miami has a Media Management major.</p>

<p>Well it's a JD, but it would be most beneficial if you specialized in entertainment, or just take as many entertainment law classes as possible.</p>
<p>When going into entertainment, the name of your major does not matter nearly as much as the experiences you have had...</p>
<p>USC is perfect! Also, if you are not sure that you want to commit to the joint business-cinematic arts degree, you can always complete a business major with a minor in one of the many entertainment related minors at the school (i.e. Cinema-Television, Communication and the Entertainment Industry, Communication Law and Media Policy, Music Industry, News Media and Society, and more)</p>
