Direct Hits

When I used to tutor SAT/ACT, I would suggest, and still do , that you resist the urge to attempt to learn vocabulary except through your everyday learning. That is, look up words that you come across that you don’t know and learn them. Your best bet is to learn the top 50 roots and suffixes and you likely will be able to decipher about 125K words. Really, use your time in a more substantive way.

If you are an iPhone person, try The Daily Word app for vocabulary review.

As you do your practice tests - make a notecard for each word you don’t know and attempt to add those words to your repertoire.

Good luck!!
