best way to prep

i took the ACT for the first time in feb and got a 28. i'm taking the ACT again in my school on March 11th. i'm trying to get a 30+, so to whoever took the ACT and improved, how did you study and what prep books did you use?

thanks

Unless you are taking the diagnostic test, I do not believe there is an official test date on March 11. The next date is April 4.

Use either the Princeton Review or Real ACT guides. Unless you are truly struggling with the format, don’t bother cramming textbook strategies into your head. Take a handful of practice tests in the weeks leading up to the test, but also focus on the individual sections and be sure to read and understand the answer explanations even if you answered correctly.

No, all of us are taking the state-mandated ACT. Although its not a natioanl test date, I believe we can use that score for colleges…

I actually have a question on how to prep for reading and science. Basically, those two sections are reading, do you think I could improve (23 R, 26 S) by reading a lot of books?

the best way to prep for reading is to read a few of the Real ACT recommended books
that way you better can recognize elements they want you to

for science, i would suggest doing a few practice tests just to help understand the time constraints and learn to pace yourself

Because I work well with the time constraint. I would have at least 5 minutes extra for each section.

Yeah I know reading screwed me over this time.
