Better chance because I'm Indian?

I am from southern India, but I am also Catholic. Would I have a better chance of getting admitted because Notre Dame has a small percentage of Asians?

4.19 gpa weighted, 2180 superscore SAT, 750 SAT Math II, 740 SAT US History, good extracurricular activities.

No, not at all. If anything, begin Asian makes you less competitive. Think about the number of Indians who get 2300+ on their SAT…

I wouldn’t necessarily agree. you said you’re from southern India: do you mean you moved from there when you were young or your parents/ relatives are from there and you were born in the USA? If you’re from India, speak a second language, and can bring something culturally to the table, it could be a huge plus. It may be worth writing one of your essays about bringing your culture to Notre Dame.

Warned for a racist generalization which I removed. - FC

TheStudent7591, I know that Asians tend to get the top scores, but Notre Dame specifically doesn’t have a large population of Asians. I’m not sure if they take that into consideration.

IliketoFence, I didn’t move from India, my parents are from there. I just want to know if ethnicity, even if it’s Asian, has a factor.

I think he means like URM for Asians

Asians are 7% of the student body at Notre Dame, so I think it counts as an URM
