<p>I am trying to decided between NUS (singapore) and CMU. CMU would have been the choice without question but NUS is offering a CS/IS Phd Scholarship which is making the choice difficult. At CMU I am going for the MISM program without any aid. I have already accepted CMU and the deadline for NUS acceptance is close.</p>
<p>You opinions would be appreciated..</p>
<p>I guess what it comes down to is whether or not you want to spend your gradschool years in Singapore or Pittsburgh, whether or not you want to get the PhD and whether or not money is an issue.</p>
<p>Where are you from? If you're from the US, I'd advise going to singapore, but if you're from elsewhere I'd give CMU more consideration. Living abroad could be a great experience that you'll cherish for the rest of your life.</p>

actually I do want to be working in a couple of years which I guess can be better achieved by going for the MIS at CMU
rationalist I am from Aus..so both US and Singa are abroad for me, in fact Aus is abroad, since I am originally from India. </p>
<p>Manisha I think bonafide's pts about your preference for the location and money constraints are factors you should consider as well. Singapore is a nice place and much cheaper than the US - but NY will be a kick start for you incase u wanna work in the US sometime. Did you apply for MISM at CMU?</p>
