BFA Acting at VCU

Does anyone know anything about the quality of the acting program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond? I want to have an instate BFA option and I was impressed by some of the things I saw on their website. Any input about the program or school in general would be awesome.
Thanks!

I teach in the BA program at JMU. I have seen shows at VCU when I have adjudicated productions foe KCACTF, and know some students in the program. I thought the quality of the shows was strong and the students who I know there seem to like the training.

If I understand correctly one is not officially admitted to the BFA performance track until the end of sophomore year? Either that or students must jury at the end of sophomore year students must pass a “jury” to be admitted to the upper level BFA acting training. This would be a good question to ask the program directly.

One nice things about the program at VCU is that there is the opportunity for a bit of musical theatre training and experience within a BFA acting curriculum.
