Thanks for the heads up! The email notifying him of a portal update was in his “promotions” folder; we would never have found it there without searching!
DS was admitted to the School of Fine Arts on the Storrs Campus for acting.

Congrats to your daughter! Great News!
It is crazy isnt it? Half seem to go into spam and it isnt until I see that things are released here that my son knows to look! Congrats and good luck with the decisions!
The whole thing is crazy. They put these kids through the ringer. Personally I don’t see why these departments accept so few kids. And just because my son is a freshman he has to wait even longer to get his results. Everyone is getting notified today but he was told that he would be notified directly on March 1. He really wants to get in but what can we do? It’s only a few more days.
I think it’s finding a balance between getting enough personal training with the teachers and being able to put on the shows they want. They have to work scenes, get feedback, etc and too many equals less of that time, and add that to ballet/dance and voice. Too big is harder and too small can be too. Then there are costs involved, once you bump over a certain number you need more faculty. But there’s enough of a range of programs from taking 5 or 8 to 50+ , just another thing to consider.
Thanks! And yes… it’s an absolutely nutty process. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for the folks on this board!
Good luck to your son as well!
A few days can feel like forever under these crazy circumstances. How frustrating it is to wait to hear when you know they have already decided one way or the other. I mean, really. What can change in 2 days?
Good luck to your son!
BTW: I just started a thread in the UCONN Section of the forum for BFA in Acting kids that are going to UCONN. I thought they should “meet” online. If your son is going to accept you might want to check it out.
Ugh! So painful! My S had a few early rejections that were absolutely devastating and now a chain of acceptances and things are amazing! It is the craziest of processes and I could only imagine how hard it is for your son, good luck and two more days!
Hopefully Monday will be a good day. Does your son really want to go to UCONN?
Good luck!!! We have a decision process to go through! ha!
Did anyone attend callbacks at University of Minnesota this weekend? Do you happen to know any details regarding how / when decisions will be done?
Update, starting to hear from schools where my D had been academically accepted.
