Just to add to the Purchase info: I emailed Admissions, and they said that they’re still processing the acting decisions. They said that decisions will be mailed the last week of March, and that once each student’s decision has been processed, the portal will be updated to say that the audition was received.
Now, given that people are reporting acceptance phone calls, I’m assuming that that’s how the acceptances will be done. However, if the portal hasn’t been updated to say that the audition was received, I’m going to say there’s still a bit of hope, because it means they haven’t processed that student’s results yet.
Does anyone know if TXST BFA Acting has finished making calls yet? My son has not heard anything since the PH email almost two weeks ago? Should we be worried? I know some people from Jan and unified auditions have heard but has anyone from Feb heard yet? Questions, questions, questions, waiting, waiting, and waiting.
I don’t know anything for sure, but our CCPA notification was late on a Friday afternoon (I believe ours came just before the last weekend in March, but in more recent years it has been closer to the middle, often the week after spring break which is this week). I remember the S and husband called from track practice with the good news. I would not be surprised if it’s today, but I don’t know anything definite.
BTW, talent based aid will be listed in the admission link and that is ALL there is. CCPA doesn’t have academic or need-based aid. If it’s not enough, you should ask for more. It works a surprising amount of the time.
@actingdreams Priority hold is the final group of applicants that Texas State will make offers to.
@theatrelifemomma from my understanding they will continue to make offers as people accept/decline to end up with a class of 14-18. Likely folks haven’t declined yet since most are waiting to hear from more schools, get financials and make last visits, etc. Texas State does ask to please let them know as soon as possible if you plan to accept/decline. However with all that said, I have no idea if they have made all their initial offers, sorry! They are on spring break this week so maybe that is slowing things up a bit.
@theatrelifemomma - we’re currently in the same boat for TX State. And I’m afraid the waiting will continue. 5 years ago D1 was on Priority Hold for MT until the bitter end. She kept hearing about acceptance phone calls going out (from her year’s version of The Green Room), and then finally heard that their alternate list was called, which she heard was the last of the calls. After that she got a snail mail letter with a rejection. The letter was pretty late in the game, but I can’t remember when she got it.
I’m trying to remember – is there a portal to check for CCPA? Or will decisions be emailed? I’m not remembering seeing a portal for CCPA for my son… Anyone know for sure?
Hello! so with UCLA coming out today, does anyone know what they base their acceptances on? Is it 50/50 for academics and audition? or do they value one more highly than the other. Thanks and wish you all the best with colleges!
BTW, my kid graduated from CCPA last year, so my information is not 100% current, but happy to try to answer questions and/or put you in touch with current CCPA parents if that’s of interest.
CCPA twitter post: The day has arrived! CCPA ADMISSION DECISIONS are rolling out today electronically!! While we wish they would all arrive at the same time for everyone, it may take through tonight and into tomorrow to receive notification. #soon#CCPAperforms#decisionday#Friyay#whoohoo
