BHP for Sophomores

I'm currently a freshman in McCombs. I have not heard anything about how difficult it is to get into BHP as a sophomore. Does anyone have any insight?

My daughter got into BHP as a sophomore. She had 4.0 . She is in her last year in UT. She was really involved in UT. She is in BHP and Plan 2 now.

ya id like to know some more about this too.

GPA is really important. Unless you have some kind of hook, you can really only have at most one B throughout your freshmen year. Aside from a high GPA, involvement is important. A resume is part of the application, and you should be able to fill a page without your high school achievements.

Hi, My name is Eric H., and I’m one of three BHP student recruiters.

The sophomore application comes out around mid-March and is due on May 1st. The BHP application committee looks not only at grades your freshman year but also the rigor of your course load and leadership/extracurricular involvement. The rumor that you need a 4.0 to transfer in is not true. BHP freshman need at least a 3.5 to stay in the program, so use that as a gauge for the minimum GPA.

You can find all the requirements to transfer at [Sophomore Admissions - Business Honors Program](http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/programs/bhp/admissions/sophadmissions.asp)

and statistics about sophomore transfers at [url=http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/programs/bhp/admissions/sophstat.asp]Sophomore Admissions Statistics- Business Honors Program/url

I hope this helps.
