big brother has finally applied...Can I fill his shoes?

I understand your last statement completely. I have done some activities that I hope show admission boards that natives and my heritage are important to me and I want the community to grow stronger.

By the way,
I will only have two years of a language and math through Pre Calculus. Honestly, about 5% of the kids at our school continue a language through a third year so I chose not to continue. The math only through pre-calculus really was not my fault. We have some good teachers but our math department is lacking so I only took Algebra as a freshman.
I've noticed some "greatly recommended" preparations on colleges website's so I was wondering how important it is..

nooooooooooooo

don't do that
the recommended language training is at least three years for any school worth half a rat's derriere.

Would it look odd if I picked back up on the language after a year break?

the language teachers at my school are not good and I really didn't enjoy taking the classes at all. One of the reasons I didn't do very well in the class..

Thanks for the help everyone!

man i wish i was a minority

So any changed chances WITH ONLY TWO YEARS of the language.?

?

I wouldn't be wasting my time by visiting those colleges? They are potentially do-able?
