pretty much wat the title says…
does it look better if your more into a big nationwide club rather than some small club only in your school? or something too generic like “reading club” or “science club”
thanks

okay sorry maybe i'm not being clear...

for example, would it look better to be president of Amnesty International rather than Lowell History club president, because that only has like 20 pepole

thank you for any feedback

it all depends what kind of impact was made in each of them. in all honesty, top colleges aren't too concerned even if you're president of the club if nothing was accomplished.

Colleges do not want well-rounded individuals; they want well-rounded freshman classes. You want to show "passion" and long-term commitment in one or two activities. The object of the passion doesn't really matter.

Avoid a long list of unrelated clubs and activities that reads like a laundry list.

If you were national president of Amnesty International's student chapters (a job that presumably means you'd be doing a lot of work nationwide), that would be more impressive than being president of a school club.
