Big Envelope or small envelope

jmac, Thanks for letting us know when the envelopes were mailed! My D is on pins and needles, and I am too because she hasn't done anything on her RD apps in case the ED news isn't good.

concernddad, that's just cruel of Financial Aid to send a thin envelope this particular week!

Yes, that is what I thought too!

Darn, I saw a larger envelope in the box, Wilamette financial aid letter just a minute ago.

S has decided not to apply to them.

Whitman was supposed to have down loaded the profile info on the 8th. Explains why you got the letter I think.

ps concerneddad, Looks like mail from Washington takes 4 days to the bay area.
Got a Christmas card from Olympia yesterday postmarked the 12th.
Gees, I am not calm about this, even after a double dose of aerobics this morning.

I know, my heart starts to race every time I see the "lights" on on this board.

Well, the fincial aid letter was written on the 12th, postmarked the 13th, and got to Oregon on the 15th. So, there is hope today that something will arrive. Our carrier does not get here until 4 or 5. I really want to run him down (not over) right now!!!

And the drama continues: nothing in the mail today!!!! But. my daughter looks at it this way: if a small envelope on took 2 days to hete here from Walla Walla, and the decisions were mailed on the 14th, then nothing in the mail today is a good thing. You gotta love the optimism!!!

Well sorry to here that, I was checking back waiting to hear your news.

We are taking our sons to see a Billy Crystal show in the city tonight. So this should be great to get our (my) mind on something else. Comedy is always a good distraction.

No news is good news for now.

Enjoy the show; comedy always works for me. My letter carrier said a "flat" or "big envelope" should take 3-4 days to get here. So, it will either be tomorrow or Monday.

We saw "700 Sundays" last night - great, great show. Terrific humor, nostalgia, and poignancy.

It's a long show - 3+ hours with one short intermission.

Will Whitman release the 1st ED stats after all the mailings are received (but before RD deadlines)?

I don't know. Maybe one of last years parents or students can answer that.

Hang in there guys. Last year it was Monday or Tuesday but it DID come....And I have not seen ED stats for either last year or this year. The number of apps/admits has been the same on the Collegeboard site for two years so I'm not sure how you'd get them. But I suppose if you asked they reply...They are definitely not a stat driven kind of place but they are accomodating. I'm hoping we will all be Whittie parents together next fall...
