Big Help!! I want to take the SAT again but I have to take the SAT II.

Help me guys!

I will be a senior when this school year starts. And I just took a SAT reasoning test on last January.
And the score wasn't that high :( :(

I got
Critical Reading 430
Math 620
Writing 490
and essay 8

So, I want to take the SAT1 again on October and November-but I have to take the SAT 2. Because I want to apply for several UCs as well.

Since I haven't take any SAT subject test, I'll be disquallify even if I don't take those on October and November--- but I HAVE TO TAKE SAT1 TEST AGAIN!! I don't think UCLA or UCI will let me in for the score of 1550.

So I searched online for a few situation like mine, and I found out UC schools actually take SAT 1 score from December.

So should I just take 2 SAT subject tests on october and november, and just take ACT during those time and take SAT1 test on december, and send that december score to UCs for updates?

Or should I just take SAT reasoning test on october and november (or just either one) and don't take SAT 2 for the other college?

(btw, I'm planning to apply for the art colleges like Cal arts, SVA, Pasadena art center college of design, Ringling too.. I think I have a solid portfolio, but not a good SAT score.. but they don't really care about SAT 2 scores... do they?)

I have about 3.6 GPA, and taken only one AP Calc and two honors, and will be taking Art AP next year. I also got 87 for the Toefl (since I've been in states for 3yrs) and 4 for the AP Calc exam.

I currently have a visa of F-2, and I think I wil change that into a student visa, so I will be an international student if I go to those colleges.

Yes, I know this is really long and I screwed things up, but Please help me!!

P.S And If I have to take SAT2, Should I take Math 2-since I have taken AP calc- and my native language-but I don't have any other choice- Korean?

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you have to take the SAT I in both October AND November?

Take the SAT November and the SATII October. Or vice-versa. And you may be able to test in December, depending on the colleges you apply to.

There's an ACT test in September you might consider taking. It substitutes for your SAT in most colleges and you might even do better.

With all due respect, you should take some SERIOUS time improving your language and communication skills before worrying about whether to take a subject test. Your writing and CR scores suggest that you would have grave difficulty with college coursework in the U.S. Your posting is almost incomprehensible. Find a good tutor and report back to us in a year.

Good luck!

post #4 is good except I would take an ACT practice test first AND talk to your school guidance counselor.

Unfortunately, the ACT won't help for UC admissions. If you really, really want to go to a UC, take the Subject Tests ASAP.

Fortunately, art schools generally don't care about your scores, and if they do it's usually because they're a school within a university. For schools like the ones you mentioned, your portfolio will be far more important.
