To Retake or Not?

So as the October date gets nearer and nearer, im trying to figure out whether or not I should retake my Math IIC. Here are my SAT II scores so far:

Math IIC: 720
Bio: 720
Spanish: 650

I was wondering if it would be worth it to retake my math sat and maybe take sat lit, so i can have three solid subject sat scores. but, since lit is so hard, i'm not sure I'd be able to score high. Also, another dilemma is that I might want to retake my SAT I (I got a 2150, but I want to balance out my poor gpa). I wanted to retake my SAT I in october, but then I'd have no time for SAT IIs!

Whats your advice? Should I retake these tests? How much do Subjct SATs matter to UCs? Specifically ucla and ucsd

Your SAT IIs look solid as is. 720 in Math IIC is very strong; don't be put down by all the other people getting like 790s and 800s. They don't see the percentages. I got a 750 in Math IIC and am not retaking. However, I am retaking my 610 in physics.

Hmm... you also want to retake your SAT Is? Well, it depends on the colleges you are applying to. Also, whether the November SAT will be too late for your early decision school. And you want to balance out your GPA? I say go for the SAT I if October is the only date. Your SAT IIs aren't bad, but depending on your school, the SAT I can be improved. You also don't have to study as much for the SAT I.

What do the colleges you're thinking of applying to want you to take for Subject Tests?

I wouldn't retake them. I think they're fine.

I;m thinking of applying to ucla, ucsd, and usc

UCs regard subject tests, because their own validation studies supposedly show SAT Subject Tests are good predictors of students who will be successful in UC studies. I don't have enough California-specific knowledge to know whether an SAT I retake or an SAT II retake would help your cause more, but I would suggest doing one or the other after asking local people which they think would be more beneficial for you.
