Congratulations everyone!

spider 05
it is sort of amazing
My great grandfather graduated in 1909

and my grandmother has great stories of living in 'rat hole' in North Court
The recital hall in north court used to be the refectory(dining hall) and she said the food was so bad she used to smuggle Mounds bars into her room to survive!!

I read where they are going to renovate north court-not too much I hope
my room senior year had a fireplace in it!!!!!(cemented up of course!!)

jbrown, as a fan of the history of the school, I can appreciate stories like that. Some friends of mine had old fashioned tubs in their North Court rooms and I think I've been a room with a fireplace (perhaps your old room).

Don't worry about the architechtural heritage of North Court. It is sacred ground! They did improve the ventilation system a number of years ago. When I was a student, the fire department was often automatically called when too many women took too many hot showers in the a.m. and the steam didn't dissapate very well. Other improvements would be of that sort.

It's great to see a family tradition like yours continuing! Congratulations!

No letter yet in DC. Think they might be sending acceptances Priority Mail and the denials regular mail?

no letter in pa either

I got accepted on 3/12, but have not gotten the acceptance packet yet. Should I wait a bit longer? It has been almost 2 weeks now.

Got the letter. Rejection in a plain white envelope with window address sent regular mail. Luckily my d. has several other very good choices. She will think about this for about 10 seconds and then move on. Congratulations to all of you who got in. You have been successful against very stiff competition and will be going to a wonderful school.

Got a letter in a plain white envelope in NJ today...waitlisted.

My Oregon daughter was accepted early this week, but sent the no thanks letter off the next day. Maybe this will open up a spot for someone on the waiting list!
