Sure it’s a good deal. It helps students adjust to college life without being thrown headfirst into the rigor of the university. They will come out with a Bing degree.
I know several students who have done this program., including my son’s girlfriend’s sister. She is a junior now and transferred into Bing for her soph year. My own son is a senior at Bing and loves it, though he was a direct admit student. If the goal is to get the Bing degree, there is no better option. They are offering your student a lifeline to admission.
There aren’t any downsides that I can think of, but your student will have to get good grades. Hard work is expected.
