@jakey Yes, I agree with; and I know that the admissions officer says that the site doesn’t accurately reflect your admittance, however I’d feel a bit more safer if I actually had access to the deposit site - as it seems that 100% of the time, if you have access - you are admitted.

Jakey… I do believe because they made you switch that your decision hasnt been put in their system yet.
I think last year they emailed all decisions on same day. I think I would have preferred that.

If its so obvious that the people recieving the “eligible” message are being accepted, then why is admissions being so adamant that it has nothing to do with admissions?? Theres gotta be another reason other than it not being an “official acceptance”

@jrok
In actuality, I think this is to calm the nerves of those with “ineligibility” status like myself. People don’t like to hear that they don’t have a chance just because they’re not allowed onto the deposit website. In addition, the website might actually be inaccurate when it comes to those who are “ineligible” because, maybe they will be accepted come tomorrow and Wednesday.

I think for those of you who have a decent chance and are “ineligible” now - GREAT essay, GREAT GPA, GREAT ECs OK SAT/ACT scores - these two days are the deciding factors. Evidently those who were accepted (at least from what I’m getting from this forum), they were getting accepted without a doubt. These two days, will probably be nail-biting decisions; which essays are stronger?, which extra-curriculars are more prestigious?, who will offer our campus more?, etc.
I wouldn’t bank on it, because by no means necessary am I the guy with all the answers. This is just something I’ve been thinking about over my waiting period. Anyone else want to join this theory, provide their own? The floor is all yours.

solid point bro

Has anyone tried the Quickpay page today? I wasn’t able to access it yesterday but today I was. I don’t want to think too much into it because I am on the lower end of their usual accept SAT scores and I was not anticipating getting accepted early action. No one in my school received any information today either.

@mr2014
by not accessing it yesterday do you mean that you were “not eligible” yesterday?

@jbryant
good thoughts. Although I would think they would be done with all decisions by this point considering theres only 1 day left and they already announced early action decisions were “on their way” (By letter) There will definitely be more aceeptance letters getting to people tomorrow and the day after that. We can only hope the deposit site changes tomorrow/gets fixed.

@mr2014 More than likely you will be accepted, I say a 99% chance, 1% just because you didn’t get the official mail yet hehe :). Congratulations.
I am on the lesser side of the SAT scores as well; 1750 (1130)to be exact. May I ask what are your stats?

Also this in particular is GREAT/hopeful news. This means, if you aren’t accessing it today; have no fear - tomorrow can be a brighter day. :)

@jrok5588 yeah that’s what I meant. I just checked a few minutes ago and it now gives me the option to pay my deposit.

I think if you’re not able to log into quickPay website, it doesn’t mean you lose all hope.

The reason being is I’m quite sure most of the applications aren’t complete if they’re unable to log in there.
It does tell you to check later (I think?)
Also mr2014 is able to log on now, as opposed to yesterday.

I just recently got the “Application Complete” even though I sent it all on November 1st, and something happened with my Fee Waiver, so it literally took until the 8th of January to get the application complete status, but it’s still labeled as EA, so I’m pretty sure the reason I can’t log on is due to the application not being processed yet.

@jbryant624 sure!
1790/1200-SAT, 720 World History, 720 US History-SAT II
91.21 UW 98.68 W GPA
8 AP Classes, 3 college, few honors
3 varsity sports, many leadership positions in clubs, camp counselor during summer
Decent essay and I’m assuming good recommendation letter

@mr2014, Kyasma

A lot more hopeful now. Thanks for all this good news. Although I think with only a day left, that all the apps are processed, maybe they are not yet.

I got an acceptance letter today and I just checked my email now and I received an acceptance email from them as well. If you still haven’t gotten anything by mail I’d check your email!

hey @mr2014, I feel like we may know each other…??

I received an email five minutes ago saying that I was accepted.

Just got accepted!

@eg1995 do you race walk?

@cait77

This tells me that it is probably a processing thing. Once an app is processed, you automatically become eligible, an email is sent out, and then a letter is then printed and postmarked. A theory, yes, but It makes sense.

Yeah, I think that’s what will get me into Binghamton. My essay showed my ability to persevere through a sport that is highly unusual. Hopefully, the part about my mentor, Ellen, will only give me more of a chance.

@mr
That’s awesome well congratulations again.

It actually supports my theory as well. My sat scores are still lower than his; however the gap is lessened. It seems to me that this last day is to consider prospective applicant with maybe subpar standards in one area. Thanks again.

@jrok
I’m rooting for the both of us right now! I know we’re strangers now, but a little hope goes a long way. Good luck hopefully tomorrow we will receive better news.
