Hey everyone, i am a second semester freshman at stony brook, i got a 2.6 last semester (****ty) but i am doing significantly better this semester. I would love to transfer for this fall to binghamton, but what are my chances of getting in?
I am a biology major.

Thanks!

Your GPA isn’t too great from last semester and because you’re only in your second semester, they’re going to base it off of your high school stats as well… I don’t think you have NO chance, but if you really are doing significantly better this semester, I’d suggest you go to the transfer page on Binghamton.edu and print out the midterm grade report form even if they don’t request it from you. Have your instructors fill it out and then you can send it in. You could also include a letter along with the midterm report expressing your desire to attend and why you think Binghamton is a good fit for you. I’d also recommend you ask at least two people who you know you well and are confident will have great things to say about you for a recommendation letter. Good luck!
