OK so I am aspiring to become a cardiologist and am really really into medicine. But out of the schools I got into I really want to go to either Binghamton or BU. Now the most obvious answer, I think, would be go to Boston they have more resources to help you do well on your MCATs, GPA, etc. But Binghamton University is also giving me a full ride to go to school there. For Boston I would have to currently shell out 35,000 a year just for attendance and whatever, but I feel strongly about ocming out of undergrad without any debt. Will Binghamton still be the better pick between the two? Some things to consider and you guys can comment on... BU i heard has a hugge grade deflation in the sciences, which would hurt my gpa, which is REALLY vital for med school admissions. On the other hand, BU, also has MMEDIC, and internship/study abroad opportunities in medical facilities all over europe and what not. I love Boston, the campus, the people, the professors, I have yet to visit Binghamton... but still a FREE RIDE? Which would you pick?

WOW I am so jealous:D… I would definitely pick Binghamton! I mean having a full scholarship and no debt will help you so much! If you like BU so much that you cannot forget, then go to Boston for your grad school.

HOLY S#$@
Why would you even consider turning down a FREE RIDE?!

Go with the one that gave you a full scholarship.

I am also in the same situation, except Binghamton only offered me a small loan (meaning I pay 17k a year). For Boston University, I would need to pay about 35k a year. Would anyone offer some more insight as to which college I should pick? Which one has a better premed program?

Hah same here, but with Accounting major. Bing School of Management with BU School of Management. We need some perspectives :x

Boston U is 8k/yr for me and Bing is 5k/yr
Opinions are welcome too.

I would def go to Bingamton. Leaving undegrade with 0 in debt is a huge relief and Bing is know for being the best SUNY. Also I think I read somewhere that leaving undergrad with a huge debt might affect your chances at med school.

Im currently debating between stony and bing. Anyone have any advice?

im in the same position as the OP except I have to pay 20k for Boston and 6 for bing. any advice?

I would personally choose Binghamton.

The cheaper, the better. Both Boston are Binghamton are Tier 1 schools, so you won’t be making a mistake in choosing the one that costs less.
