Bio 1B Fall2010 Textbook

Hey!

I'm taking Bio 1B this fall with Huelsenbeck, and I was wondering if it would be a good/bad idea to buy the international version of the Biology textbook (still 8th edition), since it's cheaper. Also, do we need the student access kit? And what would be a good price for these?

Thanks! :)

You don’t need a book at all. It’s all lecture based, the book is supplemental.

But if you’re going to be a bio major and going to take Bio 1A, you should get it. You don’t need a student access kit.

I bought it last semester and it was a very good investment. Half the price (only $60) and I’ll be using it for bio 1A next year too. Definitely a good idea, but like flutterfly said, the class is lecture based so you might not use it at all - I only used it to help in lab. I bought my copy from some group selling it on campus and it came with the student access kit (<— still haven’t opened it).
