I'm deciding between taking Bio 1B and Physics 8A in the fall. I will be a sophomore in the fall and am a pre-med student so both class are necessary for me. The problem is deciding which class I should take. The Bio 1B professor for fall is tough. From ratemyprof.com, a lot of people said that her midterms are confusing and hard and her lectures are boring. For Physics, one of the professor gives boring lectures as well but his/her midterms are fair. So should I take Bio 1B or Physics 8A? And if I take Physics 8A, should I take it with Deweese (the boring lecture but fair midterms) or Heinemen (nothing on ratemyprof)?

All i can say about bio 1b is that people on CC generally say that the spring bio 1b is better (or perhaps a bit more fair) than fall. Dunno much about physics though. I have to take 8a spring 10.

When are you planning on taking MCAT? If it’s summer after sophomore year, you should do Physics 8A Fall, 8B spring. The only section of Bio 1B on MCAT is evolution (so I’ve heard) which isn’t hard to learn by yourself. For most majors, you can AP out of it to declare and then take it in 3rd/4th year.
