Bio Chem Transferring as a Junior

I’m a biological chemistry major and have taken general bio chem physics organic chemistry and physical. i currently have a 2.7 GPA and i want to know what people think. I need advice i want to transfer to a different school mainly becauase i feel stuck at my current school. i hate the atmosphere i hate commuting and i just chose this private school because it was the only school that i got accepted and scholarship. Is is worth it to transfer and risk some credits being lost. With a 2.7 will i ever get a job. I wanted to be a pharmacist but i feel everything is out of reach. This is my third year at this school and I have yet to find the college experience people talk about. I feel if i transfer i will be dorming and more focused with school because i wont be stuck at home.

Can you and your family aford for you to live in a dorm?

The simple truth is that commuting is the college experience. Nationwide, more students commute than live on campus because it is cheaper.

the deadlines for submitting apps are fast approaching and may be past at some schools already. Since this is your 3rd year in college you need to check with schools you are considering to see if they will accept incoming senior xfer students (which you will likely be even if you don’t get credit for all your classes).

As to future career directions you should work (and indeed should have already been working) with the career center and health-career advisor at your current school. You write " i feel stuck at my current school. i hate the atmosphere" but what efforts have you made to take advantage of resources such as these?

I’ve been accepted to two schools to transfer im still debating because im still a sophomore cause im two credits short from retaking a class. Ive used my resources and have been part of many student support services and stuff like that and i still feel no benefit from that.
