how many english classes are needed for a bio major? i am a rising senior and im trying to avoid having to take any english classes in college, im good at it but it seems to be a big time sucker. My goal is to go the premed track and i'd really rather use the time on classes i care about. I got a 4 on my AP english lang test last year, so i believe when i looked it up it gives me 6hrs. im trying to decide if i need to bother with dual enrolling english 4 next year.

^ I am wondering about the same thing for English. Except I will not be a bio major...

I'll help you out, I'm on the same track:

You'll want a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.A is for pansies)

Fortunately, not a whole lot of English, just ENG 104 which can be tested out of with a 3 on Either English AP tests.

HOWEVER, two classes must be "Writing Intensive" This is good for Pre-Med because YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO WRITE DAMN GOOD. I would even go into some creative writing if you can. But, there are Biology classes that count for this requirement (I think...)

I'm about 89% Certain on this, I jsut registered for classes and I tested out of ENG 104; I don't recall there being any more English.

so an 4 on ap language should be satisfactory? cuz something tells me the grades in classes i care about, anatomy and ap bio, will go up if i slack and take regular english.... plus i wont have to bother with summer assignments or buying a yucky book... and not to toot my own horn, but im pretty great at writing, i just dont enjoy it in english classes. i find it annoying cuz i hardly ever care about what im writing. creative writing sounds pretty fun though

I got a 4 on the Comp and Lang.

But it didn't matter, you just need a 3.
