I don’t think anyone is dismissing RMP as valuable but rather just warning students to not choose every class based on it and take into account your own strengths before making a decision. EVERY teacher has bad teaching methods and struggles getting out difficult concepts. A site like this could be detrimental to a student’s education rather than assist it by bringing out the teacher’s bad qualities in an unfair way.

Again, the fact that you assume the majority of UofR students cannot make that distinction is offensive.

The fact is freshman college students find it hard TO make that distinction. I’m an incoming freshman and from what I see in the Facebook group and here, there are kids who do not meet the requirements for Bio 112 who want to take it because of what they see at RMP. Of course this is a minority, but I am just saying that you shouldn’t take a class without having talked to a lot of students.

I agree that you should talk to students and alum… and if you are not shy to professors themselves as well, that is a good point.

However, judging… well anything… by facebook status… no comment on that one.

Not facebook statuses lol on the official class of 2014 group where students ask questions.
