BioE vs. Biological Sciences

I know that McCormick has more specific requirements for engineering majors, but what kind of specific classes would a BME major take that distinguishes itself from biology majors?

Also, what are the defining features of a BME major, in terms of course content and course workload?

They are actually pretty different. http://www.bme.northwestern.edu/docs/current/undergraduate/BMERegular%20Curriculum%2011-12%20oct31.pdf

7 of the 9 core (required) courses are BME courses. Only one is biology; the other one is organic chemistry. For organic chemistry, it looks like you can actually take it elsewhere if you are worried about the reputation of orgo at NU.
