Non-NU orgo credits may be transferrable after all

<p>I was looking up some info for a perspective BME major and stumbled across this:

<p>I always thought NU doesn't accept any orgo credits from other places. I am not sure if the policy has been changed or if this is only applicable for BME majors. For those of you who are worried about orgo, you may want to investigate if it's possible to transfer credits.</p>

<p>I think it’s just the Biology Major that doesn’t accept the credits.</p>

<p>^That’s interesting. One would think if anyone has problem accepting it, it’d be the chemistry department instead of bio.</p>

<p>Maybe that’s the way it is- I just remember that for pre-med purposes if you’re NOT a science major at NU it doesn’t matter.</p>

<p>Most Chemistry Majors take 212-1,2,3 for Organic Chem not 210-1,2,3. Not sure if that matters.</p>

<p>^I am not sure. Rumor has it that NU doesn’t accept orgo credits from elsewhere. In that case, if you need orgo for your major, you will have to take it at NU. If you only need it for premed but not your major, you can take it elsewhere to satisfy med school admission but NU won’t count those credits toward your graduation requirements. </p>

<p>But now we know that’s not the case for BME. I just don’t know whether BME is the exception.</p>
