Biological Sciences Scholars?

S got a letter the other day from OSU welcoming him to the College of Arts & Sciences. We are curious: did he get the letter because he put on his original application Bio Chem and Pre-med; or because he has been accepted to the Biological Sciences Scholars program and we just haven’t heard on that yet?

Has anyone else received that letter too? If so:
*Did you apply to the Biological Sciences Scholars program?
*Did you get accepted into the Biological Sciences Scholars program?

I have heard that is one of the most populars scholars programs so they have more applications to look through. It may take them longer to notifiy people addmitted to those programs.

The biochemistry major is in the Arts and Sciences school, so if he put that as his intended major he would be accepted to the university 1st and the college of Arts and Sciences 2nd. That is what your letter means. It sounds like he is still waiting on the biological scholars program. None of my friends have heard from that one yet, so you may be right that they have lots of applications to go through.

Thanks-that actually helps a lot. Hoping to hear this week. :-)

My son is interested in Biological Science, specifically Zoology. He was accpted to OSU and the Biological Sciences School shortly after he applied on November 30. He applied to the Biological Sciences Scholars program as his first choice on December 15, and he received his letter of acceptance January 16. However, since applications are open until mid-February, I assume that there is a rolling admissions process.

S got accepted in the Biological Sciences Scholars today!!! Phew-that wait is over. So happy for him!!
