"Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that you have been admitted to the College of the Holy Cross as a biology major for the premedical/predental sequence with residence on campus."

I'm a little confused. Does that mean I got into both pre-med and biology? When I received the verification form a while ago, I checked off both the biology and pre-med boxes on the sheet because:

A) I thought that if I couldn't get into one of the programs/majors, I'll check the other one off just in case as a back-up
B) It never said I couldn't check off both boxes so I just thought "Hey, what the heck. Why not?"

So, what does this mean? Is it soley just the biology major or both?
If anybody here applied to biology only and got accepted, would you mind sharing what your letter says?

I was neither a Biology, nor a PreMed applicant. However, if it helps, my acceptance letter stated, “Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that you have been admitted to the College of the Holy Cross with residence on campus.” Therefore, I can only assume that you were accepted into both programs.

Furthermore, the Biology program is not just for PreMed students (though a significant number are, in fact, PreMed). So, when your letter mentions the PreMed program, I really think that it means that you were accepted into both Bio/PreMed.

Congrats!

My daughter is a psych major, and she applied to the premed sequence. Her letter just says, “Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that you have been admitted to the College of the Holy Cross for the premedical/predental sequence with residence on campus.”

There is no mention of her major. I’m not sure if this helps, but there you have it. ;)

Ahhhhhhh! This. Is. Amazing.
If what you guys are saying is true, I’m … ecstatic yet scared at the same time haha.
I didn’t expect that I’d get into both. I just checked off both boxes for security and see if I could actually have a chance of getting in since these 2 are the most competitive, but this … Wow.

Totally.
Unexpected.

Thank you for the replies!
