No specific major is required. Choose a major that you like well enough to get a high GPA in and which has schedule space to add any pre-med / pre-pharm courses not included in the major.
Biology is considered the “Easy” pre health major where Chemistry is considered the “hard” pre health major.
Also, you can major in anything as long as you have the pre reqs done and have a good GPA and still get in a health school.

What’s easy/hard is in eye of beholder. A person who finds bio major easy may struggle a lot in humanities and vice versa. Any major (and not necessarily science) is fine for med school. Pick one that you find interesting/like as you’re more likely to do well GPA wise if you actually enjoy material.
