Biomedical engineering: UMich Vs UCSD

Hello everyone, I need your suggestions. I have been admitted to UMich and UCSD for PhD in Biomedical engineering. Searching through their department's website and many posts, I am still not sure which one is better.

The following information may be helpful
- I am interested in the research groups at both universities.
- My career goal is to be a lecturer and researcher.
- My home country is in the tropical area.
- I am an international student.
- Money is not my problem.

Moreover, I would like to know about student life or something like that at UMich and UCSD. I read some posts; they seem to be different from what I have heard. Anyway, please share your experiences about both schools. Thanks a lot.

Honestly, I’d say while student life is better at UMich, I’d still go to UCSD. San Diego is the biotech capital and there are so many opportunities to get involved with biotech companies and be part of leading edge research. Ann Arbor can’t touch that.
