Biopsychology???

This major sounds really interesting and it could possibly be my major, but I'm wondering what I could do with it.

Throughout high school I wanted to be an Ophthalmologist, Entertainment Lawyer, Psychiatrist, Investment Banker, or another career in business. I've pretty much decided I want to get my MD, JD, or MBA.

So could a degree in Biopsychology get me to all of these fields or is it a dead end major?

it would perfect for psychiatry

That'd work great for a psychologist or psychiatrist. It could even work for a lawyer too, since your undergrad major doesn't really matter, but unless you really enjoy biopsychology, it wouldn't really be applicable to a career as a lawyer.

Thanks for the comments, but could I get into a mba program.....or get a job in business and with work experience get into a mba program.

I'm also pretty sure the major covers the requirements for med school.

Yes, it should cover med school requirements, and if not, just take a couple extra reqs.

For business, if you want to go into a drug related/psychology/healthcare field, then it would be useful. However, if you want to go into marketing or finance, then it would be pretty useless.

You can get into an MBA program no matter what you major in, the main factors are how well you did in college, GMAT scores, and work experience.

So you could easily get a job in the right field of business, but if you decide on something totally unrelated to medicine/science it'll be much more difficult to get great work experience.
