bioscience at pitt

I'm looking for some opinions here. My daughter is interested in a bioscience major, and recently visit Ohio State. She liked their program, the urban setting, and many other aspects. But she'd like to visit a school that's similar, but not as large as OSU. Pitt's smaller, urban, and seems to have a decent reputation. She's looked at some smaller colleges that require a senior research project, and she likes that idea.

Do you think Pitt is a a place she should visit?

Definitely. Pitt has a completed biomedical science tower and is finishing up the construction of a second tower that will be state of the art. My son toured the one under construction while on an engineering apprenticeship...unbelievable! Coupled with the terrific medical facilities at UPMC (university of pgh medical center), Pitt provides excellent medical education, research and hands-on experience. Pitt also has an honors college and top applicants can receive grants to do undergraduate research. I went to Pitt, as have several family members, and I think it has alot to offer.
