I'm wondering if any one has received a birthday cake in your dorm, say, from Rosie's, and if it was delivered without any problems. Another parent mentioned asking the housemaster for assistance.

At East Campus, I occasionally got emails from EC desk saying that I had received an edible package (often with the threat that, if I didn’t pick it up soon, they’d eat it ). I assume other dorms’ desks can also receive edible packages.

I’ve sent homemade jam, cookies, brownies, and fruit baskets to my daughter’s dorm. Everything is to be shared on the floor, and my daughter has told me that everything usually disappears within a couple of hours. I’ve had flowers delivered as well.

I heard that one year a freshman boy’s mom baked him a birthday cake in 3 layers, packaged each layer separately along with a jar of frosting, spatula for spreading the frosting, birthday candles and sprinkles. It was an “assemble your own” sort of birthday cake, a big hit on the dorm floor.
